OSTEOPATHS

CHRIS EVANS BSC (HONS) OST.FRSPH. DIP SPORTS NUTRITION

Mr Chris Evans is the owner of the clinic and an Osteopath for over twenty years, he is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health. He has a twenty-year background in sports coaching. He is an experienced international gymnastics coach and has coached the British team at numerous internationals including the European Championships and the World student games.

He has received several awards for his coaching skills. He is also a member of the British Gymnastics Medical Team and travels regularly with the British teams to national and international events. He was also on the medical team for the recent Gymnastics World Championships in Glasgow. He has many areas of special interest, in particular, all aspects of sports injuries.

He also teaches for the Federation International de Gymnastique in their coach education programme around the world. He is a qualified osteopath who graduated with an honours degree, from the British School of Osteopathy in London. Mr.Evans is also recognised by most insurance companies as an osteopathy provider.

MRS FIONA VALENTINE-MEDLEY M.OST. DO.ND. MRN NATUROPATH

Fiona graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine with an integrated masters degree (M.Ost) in Osteopathy & a Diploma in Naturopathy in 2010.

Fiona has been working in the clinic in different capacities for over ten years. She is an Osteopath and Naturopath and treats a wide range of musculo-skeletal problems. She has a special interest in treating womens health issues with dietary advice and supplements.

MR ARI NEVIES – OSTEOPATH

Ari graduated from the British School of Osteopathy. His special interests are sports injuries and breathing problems. He is a keen footballer who plays three times a week and a frequent gym user with a large knowledge of gym related problems.

Orthopaedics

AMER KHAN CONSULTANT – ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON

Over the last few years we have developed a close relationship with Mr Amer Khan who was the surgeon for shoulders and knees at the London Olympics Chris and Amer work closely together to get patients the best advice on more complex problems that may involve surgery or injection therapy avoiding long waiting lists.

COUNSELLING

DR. SHULI REICH BSc Psy, PHD Psy, Dip Clinical Psychology

Dr Shuli Reich is our resident Counsellor. She is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist and trained at University College and the Royal London Hospitals. She has worked for many years in London Teaching Hospitals and has published extensively in academic journals.

She specialises in counselling and in short term psychotherapy (CBT) , and offers confidential help for a range of problems including : stress; anxiety; depression; bereavement; self-esteem; relationship difficulties; victims of sexual abuse.

She also provides a neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation service for adults with known or suspected cognitive function.

She is a registered provider with a number of private health insurance companies.

MASSAGE

We can offer therapeutic massage with three qualified practitioners; sessions are available on every day of the week, inc. Saturdays. Many people find massage useful as an addition to Osteopathy and other treatments or on its own.

Massage works by relaxing the muscles causing an increased blood flow and lymphatic drainage. Depending on individual problems.

CHIROPODY & PODIATRY

MR NUR FARAH. HCPC REGISTERED CHIROPODIST

Mr Farah provides all the normal chiropody services. Nail cutting, hard skin removal, verruca treatment, corns, biomechanical analysis, orthotics, plantar fasicitis and fungal infections. He is HCPC Registered.

MISS AROOBA REMAN

Arooba Reman is a HCPC registered chiropodist and Podiatrist who works full time in the NHS and in our clinic on Saturday morning. She provides all the normal chiropody services.

PHYSIOTHERAPY

MRS ANNETTE WHITEHEAD. BSC (HONS) MCSP. SRP.

Mrs. Annette Whitehead is a state registered, chartered physiotherapist, she qualified from the University of Hertfordshire in 1998 and has since worked in the NHS and private practice.

She is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and Physiofirst (the organisation for physiotherapists in private practice). Annette specializes in musculo-skeletal disorders and has a particular interest in sports injuries, pilates and movement/ postural dysfunction and has attended several post graduate courses in these areas.

She is the founder of PHYSIOWORKS which has been located in our clinic for over 13 years.

ACUPUNCTURE AND CHINESE MEDICINE

JETHRO ROWLAND Dip Ac, Dip CHM, MBAcC, MRCHM

Jethro Rowland is an experienced practitioner of Traditional Chinese medicine. He qualified in traditional acupuncture in 1991, after three years study at the London School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is now part of Westminster University. He went on to study Chinese herbal medicine at the London Academy of Oriental Medicine, qualifying in 1995. Since then Jethro has studied addiction therapy at Thames Valley University and undergone extensive training in several areas of complementary therapy and addiction.

Jethro has a great deal of experience in treating a very wide range of conditions and has private practices in London and Hertfordshire. He has specialised in the field of addiction for over twenty years, and worked as a consultant for several addiction treatment agencies. He a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and a member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM.)

HYPNOTHERAPY

SIMON BROOK Dip CHyp.

Simon has a diploma in cognitive hypnotherapy and is a member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy and is registered with the CNHC. He treats depression, anxiety, phobias and addictions, including smoking and nail biting. He is also a mindfulness teacher and runs courses for the public and businesses and incorporates it into his daily practice.

ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE

Angelique Swallow MSTAT

Angelique is a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique. She has assisted as an Alexander Teacher at the Royal College of Music and provides private lessons, public talks and workshops for musicians, corporations and the elderly.

Learning the Alexander Technique is especially beneficial to those who suffer from back, neck and joint pain. It will help you to rediscover your natural poise and regain control of your body by learning to release unnecessary tension which contributes to pain, stress and breathing problems. You can apply the Technique in everyday activities, whether at work, rest or play.
